THE BRAND LEDIBELLE
LediBelle combines the traditional knowledge with trustworthy origin and sustainable production.
The secret of LediBelle lies in the cell-renewing effect of the goat whey and the regenerating power of the St. Jacob’s source water. This knowledge has been kept in the Appenzellian mountains for centuries. The whey comes exclusively from the Appenzellian goats that are bred at sustainable Alpine farms and is rich in essential vitamins, minerals and natural Q10. Its nurturing, protective and regenerating properties are unfolded by the healing water from St. Jacob’s source.
The name of the skin care line reflects the purpose and values of Appenzeller Naturkosmetik AG. While “la Belle” easily translates to “a beauty”, the word “Ledi” is only familiar to locals and stands for the equipment used by farmers in milk processing and that is proudly displayed on the horse-drawn carriage, the “Lediwagen”, during the traditional parade in the Alps every spring and autumn.
Used as preservatives in cosmetic products. They can
affect the hormone system and are suspected of causing cancer.
Are obtained from petroleum, similar to gasoline or diesel. Used in skin care products in place of high-quality vegetable oils but, unlike vegetable oils, contain no nourishing components. Mineral oils also leave a film on the skin. The skin can no longer breathe properly and becomes dull. The natural regeneration processes of the skin are slowed down.
Like mineral oils, silicones leave a film on the skin, but contain no nourishing components. The skin swells under the film and becomes brittle.
Nanoparticles used in cosmetics can easily overcome
the protective barriers of our bodies due to their small size. So far, the potential risks are largely unexplored.
The main substance of the polyethylene glycol (PEG)
is ethylene oxide. This substance is highly toxic, mutagenic and carcinogenic. Possible consequences are skin irritation, allergies, neurodermatitis, redness of
the mucous membranes and eyes, headache or nausea.
Diethanolamine (DEA) is an alcohol, which is used as a softener or moisturising agent. Latest studies show the carcinogenic potential of DEA.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) is an aggressive cleansing agent that is also used in car cleaners and in cosmetics because of its foaming and fat-dissolving properties. SLS is considered a common skin allergen among scientists. It is quickly absorbed by the eyes, brain, heart, and liver, and stored there, which can lead to long-term damage. LediBelle cleansing products do not contain SLS and, therefore, do not foam much, but still retain excellent cleaning properties.
No Animal Testing
It’s not just goats we care about. For this reason, we have not carried out, commissioned or funded any experiments on animals, at any time in order to test LediBelle products or their ingredients.
Dermatologically tested for sensitive skin
All LediBelle products have been dermatologically
tested for compatibility not just with normal skin but also with sensitive skin to ensure that they are well tolerated.
